Summary
The audio comes from George Avakian's master tape recordings of "The famous 1938 Carnegie Hall Jazz concert" by Benny Goodman. Avakian was the music producer (Columbia Records) of the original release/issue of the live performance LP album (Columbia SL-160), first released in 1950. "A landmark recording, it was the premiere performance given by a jazz orchestra in the famed Carnegie Hall in New York City. It is the first ever double album"--Wikipedia.
