  • Mimeographed and staple-bound, with typewritten text, hand-written music notation, hand-drawn headlines and illustrations, and photocopied newspaper stories.
  • Edited by Agnes "Sis" Cunningham and her husband, Gordon Friesen.
  • The preeminent 1960s magazine devoted to the folk music scene, topical songs, and social protest, exerting immense influence on folk singers/songwriters and helping to spread the folk music revival.
  • Issue no. 1 contains Bob Dylan's "Talking John Birch," his first appearance in print; 14 other issues with songs by Dylan, including "Blowin' in the Wind" and “Masters of War.”
