The program honors a prominent American composer Samuel Barber on occasion of his birthday. James Tocco narrates Barber's biography, interviews him about the highlights of his career and his early interest in singing which later produced "Dover Beach," (a work for voice and string orchestra, discussed and partially played from an older recording), and performs some of Barber's works solo, and four-hands with his wife or the composer.
