In this video, Mitch Miller hosts the Seagram Pops concert of him conducting the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. He presents several classical works that were used as the basis of pop hits, and popular music that became classical music. Music: Raymond overture / Ambroise Thomas (basis of the pop song "More") ; Fifth symphony : 2nd movement / Tchaikovsky (basis of Frank Sinatra's hit "Moon love") ; Polovetskian dances (from "Prince Igor") / A. Borodin (basis of Kismet's "Stranger in paradise") ; Tribute to Irving Berlin (music arranged by Pete Moore), featuring 9 hits including "Always", "I've got my love to keep me warm" and "Alexander's ragtime band".
