Interview with Ronald K. Brown at Studio Museum Harlem with Sandra Jackson conducted on January 6, 2005. Part of the Vital Expressions in American Art program. Brown discusses his work, the black aesthetic in dance and visual arts, the conception and philosophy of Evidence Dance Company, his approach to choreography, his own personal and professional history, his work Grace, and the role God and religion play in his pieces. Brown takes questions from the audience and performs then discusses some of his choreography. The last half of Reel 2 is a performance of two excerpts from Brown's work, Order My Steps, by members of Evidence Dance Company as part of the 2005 APAP Showcase on January 8, 2005. An introduction by Brown about the work precedes the performance.
