A tribute to Bob Wilson and his famous Phoenix Book Shop in Greenwich Village at 18 Cornelia Street, 1962- ; includes essays by many of the writers whom he supported and encouraged, including John Ashbery, Amir Baraka, Joseph Brodsky, James Broughton, Marshall Clements, Diane Di Prima, Allen Ginsberg, Denise Levertov, Michael McClure, James Purdy, Ed Sanders, Diane Wakoski, John Wieners, and Wilson himself. ; with hard cover-bound book of photographs.

  • "Published and designed by John LeBow. Printed by Mark Olson of the Inner Klang Press in an edition of two hundred and sixty-five copies. Sixty-five copies are signed by most of the contributors, numbered I-LXV, and are laid in a clamshell box with authentic photographed checks, chapbooks and vintage photos from the Phoenix, provided by Bob Wilson. Fifteen of these are intended for friends of the press and are not for sale. Two hundred copies are signed by Bob Wilson, Amiri Baraka, Diane Di Prima, and Michael McClure, numbered 1-200"--Colophon.
