Summary
  1. Saul Chaplin, an American composer and music director, who for years was part of the team "Cahn and Chaplin" with Sammy Cahn, (lyricist, songwriter and musician), speaks about his successful works and people he worked with. The works include movies: Cover girl, The Jolson Story (famous tune he wrote for it was The Anniversary Song), On the Town, High Society, Merry Andrew, Seven brides for seven brothers, An American in Paris, West side story, Kiss me Kate and Sound of music. The people he associated and collaborated with are: Cole Porter (of whom he speaks very highly), singer Al Jolson, whose popularized the song The Anniversary Song, songwriter Jerome Kern (whom he calls very strict), composer Jule Styne, singers Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, Julie Andrews, and others from show business and the movie industry. He recounts stories and anecdotes from his long career.
