Mikhail Baryshnikov and White Oak Dance Project perform Past Forward, a retrospective and celebration of Judson Dance. Live dance works alternate with video sequences, created by Charles Atlas and narrated by Baryshnikov. The video depicts a brief history of the Judson via stills and interviews, then each live work is bracketed with a quick description from its choreographer. Public participation is part of the program: local dancers and community members take part in several works. The recording begins during "Scramble" and ends with several announcements regarding a found wallet and a required person. Visual quality is poor, and audio in the left channel cuts out intermittently. The image jumps a bit at 24:00.
