- Summary
- Pencil drawing of plan for the tank at the Hippodrome, a pastel of the Prince of Wales at the Hippodrome in 1919, and a poster for amateur night. Built in 1905 with state of the art technology, the Hippodrome had a 8,000-gallon clear glass water tank that could be raised from below the stage by hydraulic pistons for swimming-and-diving shows, some featuring horses.
