- Caroline Antoinette Ellis [other married name Scott], née Colnaghi, of the Colnaghi family of art dealers in London. She was the daughter of Paul Colnaghi, and beginning in November of 1829 was for a time a partner in the family business. Her first husband (m. 1807) was John Scott, the journalist, who died in 1821; her second husband (m. 1840) was [Andrew] Ellis Ellis, né de Vezian, underwriter. She is listed as "Caroline A. Ellis" on the censuses for 1861 and 1871.
