  • "Dansé au Palais royal, le 2. et le 4. jour de may 1651" is handwritten on leaf before title page.
  • This is one of the three major ballets in which Louis XIV danced.
  • Participants included Louis XIV and a "Sr. Molier" (p. 9 & 15) or "Moliere" (p. 31), probably Louis de Molier, but a ms. attribution of some of the verses if not the idea of the ballet to J.B. Poquelin Molière has been recorded in P. Lacroix's Ballets et mascarades de cour ... 1581-1652, v. 6 (1870), p. [279].
