1. This unproduced musical was the second of three musicals of this title with books by David Edgar. The first had music composed by Graham Field and was produced at the Bush Theatre in London in February, 1974. The third had music by William Schimmel and was produced at the Wiiliam Redfield Theatre, New York, N.Y., in January 1983 and then at the West Bank Cafe in September of that year.
2. Dick Deterred is an adaptation of Shakespeare's Richard III with Richard Nixon in the title and with his colleagues substituting for the Shakespearean characters Clarence, Buckingham, Catesby, etc.
