- Summary
- "Video seminar" in which composer David Shire and lyricist/librettist Richard Maltby speak about their stage musical Baby, and offer advice for future productions. Maltby discusses the creation of the show, its characters, and how the team expressed their characters' feelings in the show's songs. Shire, seated at a piano, plays selections from his score, and both men sing portions of songs from the show. There are also stills and audio excerpts from the original Broadway production.
