  • Writer's Stage Theatre location, 82 East 4th Street, on front of depicted coffee cup.
  • A benefit performance for Cino's coffee house, which had been damaged in a fire earlier that year. Plays to be performed include "Or Harry Can Dance," by Lanford Wilson, and plays by "house authors" H. M. Koutoukas, Paul Foster, David Starkweather, et al. Origins of Off-Off Broadway are generally credited to the productions at Caffe Cino at 31 Cornelia Street, which was also a venue for gay theater. Caffe Cino opened in 1958, and became the performing, improvising home of playwrights Wilson, Sam Shepard, John Guare, Marshall W. Mason, et al., and of actors Al Pacino, Bernadette Peters, Harvey Keitel et al.
