Summary
  • "A docudrama based on an abortion case that plunged a husband into a legal nightmare. This 1991 TV-movie casts Henry Winkler as Marty Klein, a CPA from Long Island whose pregnant wife, Nancy (Jennifer Hetrick), is critically injured in an auto accident. As she lingers in a coma, a medical expert convinces Marty that Nancy's resuscitation hinges on the termination of her pregnancy, which will require a judicial order. It won't be easy to get. Acting within lawful bounds, two pro-life activists--'absolute strangers' to Klein--petition for guardianship of Nancy and her unborn child. A court battle ensues that raises thorny Constitutional issues"--TV guide.
