This is part 1 of the first program of BBC Radio 4's "The life and music of Richard Rodgers", featuring pre-recorded candid interview clips of Richard Rodgers, members of his family (brother Dr. Mortimer Rodgers and wife Dorothy Rodgers), friend Philip Leavitt, Theatre Guild head Armina Marshall Langner and music theater analyst Lehman Engel. The interview clips are interspersed with pre-recorded music clips of music selections from various works Rodgers had written with Lorenz Hart.
