Mostly landscape drawings by Richard Mansfield in various mediums including pencil, pen and ink, watercolor and oil and on various surfaces including paper, board and canvas. Also includes a drawing by Mansfield of Shylock in the Merchant of Venice, a pen and ink drawing he did for his book, Blown Away, and a caricature of Mansfield possibly by Nusley.
Biography
English actor-manager born in Berlin, Richard Mansfield studied painting in London in his youth, but turned to acting after realizing he would not be able to earn a living as a painter.
