  • Les Danseuses viennoises was a troupe of child performers known for their precision dancing, organized by Josephine Weiss, ballet mistress at the Josephstadt Theatre in Vienna. The troupe, composed of thirty-six little girls, made its debut at the Paris Opéra in 1845.
  • This print reverses the image on a lithographed music cover for Le pas de fleurs, signed by the artist John Brandard and published in London by Jullien in the 1840s. This appealing image was also published without attribution by publishers other than Atwill.

Les Danseuses viennoises was a troupe of child performers known for their precision dancing, organized by Josephine Weiss, ballet mistress at the Josephstadt Theatre in Vienna. The troupe, composed of thirty-six little girls, made its debut at the Paris Opéra in 1845.
This print reverses the image on a lithographed music cover for Le pas de fleurs, signed by the artist John Brandard and published in London by Jullien in the 1840s. This appealing image was also published without attribution by publishers other than Atwill.
