The ballets and theatrical works that appear in this collection are, in chronological order: Sacountala (choreography, Lucien Petipa), presented at the Paris Opéra in 1858; The white fawn, a musical by Howard Glover, presented at Niblo's Garden, New York, in 1868; Le fandango (choreography, Louis Mérante), presented at the Académie Nationale de Musique in 1877; Yedda (choreography, Mérante), presented at the Opéra in 1879; La korrigane (choreography, Mérante), presented at the Opéra in 1880; Der Spielmann, a ballet to music by Josef Förster, presented at the Vienna Staatsoper in 1881; Sieba, o la spada di Wodan (choreography, Luigi Manzotti), first performed in Turin in 1876, presented at the Éden Théâtre, Paris, in 1882; La farandole (choreography, Mérante), presented at the Opéra in 1883; La rêve (choreography, Joseph Hansen), presented at the Opéra in 1890. No information is available about En Skærsommernatsdrom; however, the engraver Knud Gamborg was active in the second half of the 19th century.
