Summary
Panel discussion 1: Nikolaj Hübbe discusses La bayadère being performed for the first time at the Royal Danish Ballet, changing it into a three act ballet, how the process is going so far and preparing for their opening performance on Nov. 10th, how the iconic sections have the original Petipa choreography and Hübbe and Eva Draw are choreographing the new sections, how Eva Draw is bringing the Russian aesthetic to the Royal Danish Ballet, and the original and new story/setting of the ballet. Panel discussion 2: Hübbe discusses the different casts for this production, the importance of the female corps de ballet for the shades scene, iconic moments with comparisions to the new versions for this ballet include the Shades scene, Snake bite scene, and Bronze idol solo which is not the Blue god variation.
