- Note
- Some letters with envelopes.
- Lester Littlefield was a Dartmouth graduate from Ogunquit, Maine, who resided in Paris in the late 1950s. An admirer of and correspondent with Pound, he visited the poet in St. Elizabeths Hospital (a psychiatric hospital in Washington, D.C.) in 1956, where Pound had been incarcerated in 1945 for his propagandizing for Italy's fascist regime during the Second World War. Pound was released in 1958 and moved to Italy.
- Olga Rudge was an American-born concert violinist and the lover and companion of Ezra Pound, for whom she also acted as secretary and nurse the last eleven years of his life (1958-1969), and with whom she had a daughter, Mary.
