Summary
In the first half of the program (2:00-3:00 P. M.), host John Schaefer talks with jazz French horn player/composer John Clark and jazz guitarist Jerome Harris about their latest album, "Il suono" (1992) and their respective careers. They play some music from their album live in the WNYC performance studio. In the second half of the program (3:00-4:00 P. M.), host John Schaefer talks with Juilliard president Dr. Joseph Polisi and with composer/Juilliard professor Robert Beaser, about the 2nd annual Irene Diamond Concert series (Alice Tully Hall, 11/30/1993, 8 P. M.), and about Robert Beaser's song cycle "The seven deadly sins." Violinist Brian Lewis and pianist Natsuki Fukasawa perform live in the WNYC performance studio.
