Summary

1. Charles Wuorinen (composer) discusses working with the poetry of James Tate, how that came about, the three pillars in Tate's poetry and how it relates to the music. Ken Rus Schmoll (director) talks about how he handled this new piece for the performances at Tanglewood, working with the singers, developing their characters, how the piece would change if there were different performers and concludes with Schmoll mentioning his next directing project, a play entitled, Death tax.
