- In the first half of the program (2:00-3:00 P. M.), host John Schaefer talks to pianists Bill Charlap and Steven Mayer (Mayer's 1st appearance) about their gig at the Jazz in July series (92nd St. Y) and their fathers, composers William Mayer and Moose Charlap. Both Mayer and Charlap play live in the WNYC performance studio. In the second half of the program (3:00-4:00 P. M.), host John Schaefer talk to the members of Eberli Ensemble about their upcoming summer gigs. They perform live in the WNYC performance studio.
