- Documents the life of Adam Clayton Powell, Congressman and pastor of the largest Black congregation in the country, and his efforts to eliminate oppression and injustice in America. This extensive interview took place a short time before Powell's death and includes film segments from his career as Pastor of the Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem and as legislator on Capital Hill. The pianist Hazel Scott, in an interview, discusses her role as wife of then Congressman Powell.
