- Summary
- This volume contains the New York 10th Brigade's courts martial minutes and proceedings from 1828-1837. Cases concern trials for "persons delinquent from drill or parades," and "fines imposed on officers," such as for the case of S. J. Mumford vs. Captain James Y. Gillespie. The volume also contains the general orders of reorganization (May 2, 1836). Units mentioned include the 8th Light Infantry, the 85th, 106, 222nd, and 252nd Infantries, "Thompson's Blues," and the "President's Guards." Colonels Hawes and Van Orden presided over the court.
