- This collection contains portions of the original manuscript of Edward Brewster Sheldon's play The Love Feast--a literal translation of the Italian title, Cena delle beffe. Included are Act III, books 1 through 6, and Act IV, books 1 through 3. In England and the United States, the play was titled The Jest. The play was produced at the Plymouth Theatre, New York City in April of 1919.
- Undated notes of the author on front covers of book 1 of Act III and book 1 of Act IV direct the forwarding of copies of the play to John Barrymore.
