- Recorded Mar. 3, 1991. Instrumental compositions by Doug Wieselman for Jerome Robbins's autobiographical theater work Poppa piece. This is one of a series of tapes, made between 1990 and 1992, on which Wieselman recorded musical ideas and variations for scenes in Poppa piece.

- Poppa piece was an autobiographical work created by Jerome Robbins, incorporating music by Doug Wieselman, with lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, choreography by Robbins, and dialogue by John Wiedman. Planned and developed over many years, Poppa piece was rehearsed in workshops at the Lincoln Center Theater in 1991, but was never produced.
