  • Not dated. Four songs by Doug Wieselman, with lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, for Jerome Robbins's autobiographical theater work Poppa piece. The songs include The great educator, Dream dad, The great financial adviser, and The great prankster. This is one of a series of tapes, made in 1990 and 1991, on which Wieselman recorded musical ideas and variations for scenes in Poppa piece.

  • Poppa piece was an autobiographical work created by Jerome Robbins, incorporating music by Doug Wieselman, with lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, choreography by Robbins, and dialogue by John Wiedman. Planned and developed over many years, Poppa piece was rehearsed in workshops at the Lincoln Center Theater in 1991, but was never produced.
