- Summary
- Costume design for a female dancer, probably playing the role of a fairy in George Balanchine's ballet A midsummer night's dream, based on William Shakespeare's play. The flowering plant to her left may represent Shakespeare's "little western flower" called love-in-idleness, which is used as a love-charm in both the play and the ballet.
