Summary
  1. David Parsons is dancer, choreographer, and the artistic director of his own troupe, The Parsons Dance Company. Eight exceptionally polished and energetic dancers, the company demonstrates a true commitment to real, satisfying, dancing. Parsons choreography is marked by a witty terseness and probing intelligence, which conceals its difficulty behind a silky casualness. The music ranges from Mozart and Rossini to Robert Fripp, the dances themselves employ various vocabularies of movement, and a variety of designers (stage, lighting, and costume) result in a multiplicity of styles. David Parsons introduces each of the seven pieces presented.
