From 3 May to 13 September of 1997 the New York Public Library's Humanities and Social Sciences building held an exhibition titled Visionary Daughters of Albion, which focused on the English writers Mary Wollstonecraft and Mary Shelley. Chiefly featuring materials from the Library's Carl H. Pforzheimer Collection of Shelley and His Circle, the exhibition was mounted in the building's Edna Barnes Salomon Room.
