  • The orphans' home cycle is a trilogy of plays by Horton Foote. Each part consists of three acts, each of which is a self-contained one-act play. Part one, The story of a childhood, consists of Roots in a parched ground, Convicts, and Lily Dale. Part two, The story of a marriage, consists of The Widow Claire, Courtship, and Valentine's Day. Part three, The story of a family, consists of 1918, Cousins, and The death of Papa. The entire cycle was produced by Signature Theatre Company and Hartford Stage Company at Signature's Peter Norton Space during the 2009-2010 season.
