Summary

1. David Randolph discusses the 1601 collection of English madrigals "The Triumphes of Oriana" (dedicated to Queen Elizabeth I) and illustrates it by playing selections from his Westminster Records recording with the Randolph Singers. Also included in the program are several short pre-recorded virginal pieces composed by G. Farnaby, "Mal sims", "A maske" and "His humour" performed by Blanche Winogron.
