Summary
Disc contains recording of program # 574 of WNYC's New Sounds, during "American music week". John Schaefer talks to saxophonist and composer David Liebman about his jazz-inspired serialist and modern music, plays selections from several of his albums during the interview. Both "Incantation II" and "Incantation 4" (from the album Chant) feature Richard Beirach on piano. In the 3rd work, "The code's secret code", the pianist and orchestra are unidentified.
