- Summary
- J. Anthony Lukas, a Pulitzer prize-winning American journalist and author, discusses his 10 years work as a roving reporter at The New York Times. He speaks of meetings with many political leaders during his career in journalism; his book "Notes on the Chicago conspiracy trial"; his vision of the social conflict between white middle class and African Americans who work in service and tells a story about Chicago cab driver's work and life. At the end of the lecture he answers questions from the audience.
