- Description
- 1 sound disc (ca. 28 min) : digital; 4 3/4 in.
- Summary
- Disc contains recording of two different candid music rehearsals of the Masterwork Chorus and two audio excerpts of The Randolph Singers. In the first part of the recording, the Masterwork Chorus rehearses two selections of Mozart's Requiem, the Kyrie fugue and the first "Quam olim Abrahae". In the second part of the recording, Marvin Laskowitz talks to David Randolph in the WNYC radio studio. Randolph presents two pre-recorded audio clips of the Randolph Singers performing the first line of Thomas Hunt's madrigal "Hark! did you ever hear". The first audio clip is a polished brief performance from an LP, and the second audio clip is a brief recording of the first rehearsal of the madrigal itself.
