- William Salmon (1684-1759) of Southold, Long Island, was a grandson of William Salmon (b. 1610) who emigrated from England to Southold in 1635.

Robbins, was published as The Salmon Records: A Private Register [...] 1696-1811 (New York: New York Genealogical and Biographical Society, 1918), re-printed from the Society's Record. The publication includes entries dating to 1815. Electronic copies of the 1918 edition are available via Internet Archive, Heritage Quest, and other sources. Multiple print copies are available in the Milstein Division of U.S. History, Local History and Genealogy.
