Summary
This program celebrates the music of Arvo Pärt. During the panel discussion that occurs halfway through the program, Sophie Calle discusses why she chose to film her mother's death and present the film publicly (here accompanying the performance of L'abbé Agathon); conductor J. David Jackson speaks about how he and Calle combined her original text with the Pärt composition. Tarik O'Regan speaks about his new commissioned work The woven child, how it relates thematically to the other works on the program, and Pärt's reactions to it. Christopher Wheeldon, who is represented in the program by two choreographic works, was not able to appear on the panel.
