· To Capt. Caulfield at no. 6 Gerrard St. : 1 autograph letter third person : 25 Mar 1803 : (MISC 2790) : from C[ovent] G[arden] Theatre : saying that he is "very sorry" that it is "impossible to fix his night so early," but that W. Lewis will be in touch when he is able to "determine the Night."

  • Thomas Harris, English theatre manager. Harris, originally a soap manufacturer, joined with others in 1767 to buy the Theatre Royal in Covent Garden. He acted as its manager from 1774 until his death in 1803.

Thomas Harris, English theatre manager. Harris, originally a soap manufacturer, joined with others in 1767 to buy the Theatre Royal in Covent Garden. He acted as its manager from 1774 until his death in 1803.
