- The collection consists of late-18th to mid-19th century Beekman family deeds, wills, accounts, mortgages, and other documents. Other New York families represented include the Heath, Taylor, Payne, Roosevelt, Hyans, Ray, and Franklin families. Of note are ca. 20 deeds, 1738-1844, relating to land owned by members of the Beekman family in Manhattan and Jamaica, Queens; accounts, 1838, 1853-1854, of Abraham De Revere; miscellaneous business papers of Gerard J. Beekman, 1763-1838.
