- Intermission features Mary Watkins-Cushing, who worked at the Metropolitan Opera in the early part of 20th century and wrote a book "Rainbow Bridge" about famous singers and musicians that included Caruso and Toscanini, reminiscences about those days, recollects some episodes and discusses personalities of and relationships among the leading members of the opera.
