- Summary
- During intermission, Sir Adrian Boult, a prominent British conductor of BBC Symphony Orchestra, describes his encounters with Toscanini, who made a series of broadcast recordings with this orchestra and conducted it in performances during a decade prior to the World War II. Boult analyzes maestro's approach to music as a colleague and fellow musician and points to Toscanini's "magnetic power" that enabled him to get orchestra players do their absolute best.
