- Summary
- This program considers the confessional poetry and haunting persona of Sylvia Plath, who committed suicide at age 30. It incoporates the painful memories of her mother Aurelia Plath and the recollections of close associates, Clarissa Roche, Dido Merwin, and classmate Margaret Shook. The critic A. Alvarez, Plath's teacher Wilbury Crockett and feminist poet/scholar Sandra M. Gilbert analyze her poetry which reveals the anguish and destructive conflicts which plagued her life.
