- Summary
- "Postman Pat" is an animated puppet series whose central figure, a friendly mailman, is a beloved member of the English town of Greendale. In this episode, Pat, accompanied by Jess, his black and white cat, arrives at the General Store in his red Royal Mail van and is surprised by a large amount of mail addressed to him. All the envelopes contain birthday cards! Making his usual rounds, Pat receives a cake from the Twins, a bible from the Reverend and a sweater from Granny Dryden. Pat is mystified because he has never told anyone his birthdate. Finally, he meets Peter Fogg who solves the mystery by showing Pat an article in the Pencaster newspaper hailing him as "The Postman of the Year" and giving his date of birth.
