Summary

The story of three days in the life of a Belgian housewife and part-time prostitute provides a study of a daily household routine. This regimen, which ranges from preparing meatloaf to a stop in a local cafe, includes a single act of paid sex (for housekeeping money) every afternoon before her son returns home from school. Her prostitution, like every other act she performs, is part of a perfectly ordered and executed ritual. When, one day, her formularized existence is disrupted, the result is terrifyingly chaotic and sinister. (Circulates)
