- Summary
- In an inner-city neighborhood, Archie, a young black boy, befriends a sly alley cat. Sharing an ice cream cone, the boy and his new friend join a talent show taking place in a lot. Archie performs his "Mr. Big Face" routine with a paper bag mask. Refusing to be upstaged, Cat bites Archie's foot sending him tumbling. With his mask ripped, Archie is booed off the stage. Robert attempts to keep the show flowing with his "Tallest Dog in the World" routine. The composure of the statuesque canine, Willy, is shaken when Cat darts in front of him. The talent show ends abruptly with the children scattering to retrieve Willie and Cat. That evening, Archie pleads with his mother to allow him to keep the cat. She relents and Archie hopes he can find his feline friend once more.
