Description
1 videocassette (7 min.) : sd., col.; 1/2 in.
Summary
Using the innovative electronic imaging process of High Definition Television, Sanborn and Perillo manipulate action, time and space and combine illusion with reality to present a surrealist vision of New York City. Percusssionist David von Tieghen looms over New York's Chrysler Building striking the skyscraper's art deco spire. Shrinking in size, he finds a huge hot dog on the street before being washed away by a stream of water. In this fictional environment, the Kinematic Dance Company, audio visual performer Julia Heyward and composer Robert Ashley also appear, their performances subjected to whimsical manipulations.
