- Summary
- This film chronicles the efforts of homosexuals to gain civil rights in the United States and charts the activities of such gay/lesbian groups as the Gay Liberation Front, Gay Activists Alliance and the National Gay Task Force. Praunheim explores the diversity of the gay community and its various sexual lifestyles. He addresses the controversies surrounding Anita Bryant's condemnation of homosexuals and the anti-gay Briggs Amendment. Analyzing his own sexuality, the director is filmed by his students in an intimate lovemaking session.
