- Since 1986, performance artist David Leslie has enlivened the streets and clubs of New York City with death-defying feats that have earned him the title of "Impact Addict" and "King of Pain." Each event reinforces and extends media hype and mythmaking while exorcising Leslie's boyhood fascinations. Presents one muggy Soho summer night when Leslie attempts to launch himself in a self-made rocket over a mountain of 1000 watermelons before a crowd of 2000 spectators.
